As the Clinical Director and Co-Founder of Blueberry Hill Retreat Center, my mission is to create a space where deep healing happens—physically, emotionally, and energetically. With over two decades of experience in integrative and functional health, I specialize in helping individuals uncover the root causes of chronic illness and reclaim vibrant health through personalized protocols, nature-based healing, and evidence-informed care.
My clinical approach blends the latest in root-cause medicine with ancestral wisdom, emphasizing nervous system regulation, mitochondrial repair, and bio-individualized nutrition. Whether guiding a guest through a full detox protocol, customizing supplement regimens, or facilitating trauma-informed healing, I design every experience to restore the body’s innate intelligence.
Co-founding Blueberry Hill was born from a vision: to create a sanctuary for transformation. Here, we don’t just treat symptoms...we decode patterns, restore balance, and offer guests the tools to sustain change long after they leave.
I believe healing should feel grounded, not overwhelming. At Blueberry Hill, we combine clinical precision with a deep respect for the natural world, offering a retreat experience that is as structured as it is soulful.

Blueberry Hill Estate is a 14,000 square foot estate that was built from 1954 through 1957 by entrepreneur Gene Cornwell. Cornwell made his fortune manufacturing wood television cabinets at the dawn of the Golden Age of TV.
Gene Cornwell’s factory was a major employer in the area. Built originally as Cornwell’s country retreat, Blueberry Hill Estate later was in the process of becoming a country club. Legendary golf course designer Pete Dye began work on an 18-hole championship golf course, which was one of his first designs. Due to a property dispute, the course was never completed.
Cornwell and his wife, Dee, were world travelers. Many of the fixtures and antiques in Blueberry Hill Estate were brought back from their travels. In particular, the stately two-story chandelier in the main stairwell was brought from Chesnock Castle in Scotland.
The Cornwell Company burned to the ground in a large fire, destroying most of the factory building. Gene Cornwell rebuilt the factory and began producing cabinets for hall clocks, but the Cornwell Company’s days were coming to an end. The factory closed and Gene Cornwell passed away in 1976.
Blueberry Hill Estate fell into disrepair until it was later purchased by current owner, T. Austin Bevis in 1982. T. Austin had retired from his career in Chicago, and fell in love with the beauty and sophistication of the secluded property. He raised his family in the house and, once his family had grown, he turned his sights to transforming the estate into a luxury destination.
Blueberry Hill Estate has been a beautiful Orange County secret for nearly sixty years. Now it’s time for this land to share healing and beauty with you in its new purpose...as a Wellness Retreat.

NeuroReset was born where Dr, Melissa's clinical work met Blueberry Hill's steward and long-time owner. The Estate is a place for healing, that called to them both. When the co-founders paths crossed, they envisioned a retreat model that would offer the perfect container for guests to restore their body, mind, and spirit. The land is nourishing, the hospitality is intentional, and the program offers a repeatable rhythm: gentle movement, nourishing meals, and simple stress-free inclusivity. Their shared vision is to offer guests the space and time to wander, read, dream, learn, heal, rest and align.
